There's a group of people called the ODF Alliance (Open Document Format Alliance). Their agenda is to promote and advance the use of the OpenDocument Format (ODF).
That sounds great; allowing the public sector to have greater control over and direct management of their own records, information and documents.
Of course, Microsoft, not liking an open standard to take the flame from them, has erected the Open XML Formats Developer Group to compete against the ODF Alliance.

"Since the dawn of personal computing people have found ways to push hardware further than the manufactures' specifications. Overclocking certain components made this possible, but for every action there is reaction. Overheating is what we are stuck with; always coming around to mess everything up... As for the RAM on video cards, people don't hesitate to go and buy themselves pre-made RAM sinks. In this guide however, you'll see how making your own RAM sinks can outperform any pre-made model; it only takes innovation and a skilful mind." - Dan Allen

"'Stealthing' drives has always been one of the favourite mods the average modder likes to do. It's a very simple and stylish modification for just about any case. Having that plain and ugly beige CD/DVD drive on the front of your case just doesn't suit the overall appearance. It is thanks to simple modifications such as stealthing that even a zero-budget person can rightfully brag about his computer. Not only that, but newbie modifiers can easily handle this task without regret." - Dan Allen

"I've always loved the idea of putting LEDs on fans to make them have that bright glow, but none of the other pre-made or modded fans seem to utilize the full potential of the LEDs. They're no more than mounted and stationary lights fixed in the position of the spinning fan blades. There are only a few other ways to make the LED fan more appealing and unique, and one solution is mounting the LEDs directly on the blades to get a ring of light. I admit this is not the only way to accomplish this modification; rather it is simply an innovation. I call this mod the Single Contact LED fan." - Dan Allen

Opera has just beat Mozilla Firefox to be able to completely pass the famous ACID2 test. Here's a capture of what Opera renders the ACID 2 test as; Opera 9 showing the nice happy face saying "Hello world!".
Did you know that Safari _can not_ really pass the test? In an unofficial unreleased build it could, but in the production release, Mozilla Firefox is still the closest winner.
Heh, and of course, Internet Explorer is last. Did I even have to mention that?
